A Night of Dancing, A Lifetime of Second Chances:

Cat-Tillion Fundraiser Set for April 11

Neponset Valley Humane Society to Host Dinner Dance

    to Support Foster-Based Cat Rescue

February 26, 2026 – For many cats in the Neponset Valley, a safe place to land doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because volunteers open their homes, community members step up, and neighbors choose to care.

On Friday, April 11, Neponset Valley Humane Society (NVHS) is inviting the community to do just that — by attending the Cat-Tillion, a dinner dance fundraiser dedicated to giving local rescue cats a second chance.

NVHS operates without a physical shelter. Instead, rescued cats are cared for in volunteer foster homes throughout the region — recovering from illness, adjusting to safety, and waiting for families of their own. Every veterinary bill, every bag of food, and every adoption depends entirely on community support.

The Cat-Tillion was created as a joyful way to make a serious impact. The April 11 event blends dinner, dancing, and a playful feline theme — but at its heart, it’s about something much deeper: keeping rescue efforts strong so no cat is left without care.

“One evening of celebration can support months of foster care,” said Cathy Tainter, the Society’s President. “When people buy a ticket, they’re not just attending a party. They’re helping a cat receive medical treatment, warmth, and a chance at a forever home.”

Proceeds from the Cat-Tillion will directly fund medical care, food, and foster supplies for cats in need throughout the Neponset Valley.

The event will feature live music from the Reminisants and an Italian dinner catered by Fasano’s plus a myriad of raffle items. Community members are encouraged to attend, invite friends, and help ensure that local rescue cats continue to find safety — one dance step at a time.

Neponset Valley Humane Society is an All-Volunteer 501(c)(3) cat rescue organization dedicated to the safe rehoming of abandoned animals and to trapping, spaying, and neutering feral cats.
